Glassjaw was formed in the summer of 1993 in New York when singer Daryl Palumbo met up with guitarist Justin Beck, and the two began to collaborate on their passion for music.  Their first show was in Oceanside, New York in 1994, and this would be the beginning of several personnel changes, while they simultaneously and steadily gained a following in the underground post hardcore music scene.

By 1997, the band had recorded a five song EP called "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."  Finally, in 1999, the band would enter the studio to produce its first album "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence," which was released in 2000 through Roadrunner Records.

After an unpleasant split with Roadrunner, the band would enter the studio again under the Warner Bros. Records to record "Worship and Tribute," which was released in 2002 and would hit number 82 on the Billboard 200.  This album has been described as a poppy punk feel mixing jazz, afrobeat, psychedelic rock, and funk.

The band would go on hiatus for a couple years while experiencing a few changes, as well as Daryl Palumbo's battle with Chrone's disease.  Finally in 2007, the band would get back to headlining their own tours, making Glassjaw tickets available, and would build momentum for an impending studio album.

Currently they have put together "Coloring Book," an EP with six new songs on it.
