Phoenix - The Band Tickets

Getting their start as a garage band in Paris, Phoenix takes their 80s influence to a whole new level to produce an eclectic mix of rock and synthesizers and a unique Phoenix sound.  This group has become known across the globe, and Phoenix tickets are beginning to sell as well in North America as they do in Europe.

While this group is still considered somewhat of an up and coming sensation, they have been playing music together for more than a decade, and their cohesiveness shows. Phoenix ticket holders will be treated to a major label group that sounds more independent than they should for all their commercial success.

A History of Phoenix Tickets

The band was started by three of the original members of the group: Thomas Mars, Deck D'Arcy and Christian Mazzalai. The trio began playing out of Mars garage, located in the Paris suburbs. Mazzalai's older brother Branco joined the band in 1995, and the band began touring local French clubs, playing covers from artists like Prince and Hank Williams.

It was two years later that the band gave themselves the name Phoenix and began searching out a record deal by producing their first release on their own label Ghettoblaster. Soon after, they were signed to the major French label Source Records, and Phoenix tickets began selling out venues across the country.

What to Expect from Your Phoenix Tickets

Phoenix ticket holders have been growing in number in the United States, as this group has had a decade to develop a loyal underground following. Performances are mostly about the music, with little special effects to boast about. However, for Phoenix fans, the music is more than enough to keep them on their feet for the full show.

Their last album release, "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix," offers a couple of popular summer anthems, including "Lisztomania" and "1901" that have become audience favorites along with previous hits like "Love like a Sunset" and "Long Distance Call."

Who Should Purchase Phoenix Tickets?

Phoenix ticket holders are typically fans that have followed this band from its inceptions through its many evolutions over the past decades. However, any rock fan that enjoys a new take on the music with little regard for specific genre is sure to love the eclectic mix Phoenix brings to the stage with every show. Phoenix has announced plans to tour in 2011 throughout Europe and North America, details which will be forthcoming.
