If there ever were the model jam band, it would be Moe. A mix of contemporary pop and classic rock, Moe uses sharp melodies and skilled songwriting to take their sound to a new level. It is no wonder, then, that Moe has experienced - and continues to experience - success in the music business, with plenty of fans demanding Moe tickets around the world.

The History of Moe Tickets

The members of Moe (originally called Five Guys Named Moe) first met at the University of Buffalo, and the group was founded by bassist/vocalist Rob Derhak and drummer Ray Schwartz in 1990. The band began touring the university party circuit and had a number of members who rotated in and out of the band.

Although Moe mainly covered classic rock tunes during that time, they also recorded and played a number of original songs, as well.  They released Fatboy in 1992 and HeadSeed a couple years later, but it wasn't until 1995 that that Moe tickets were on sale for a national tour.  The band recorded their third album, Loaf, during a two-night stand at New York City's Wetlands Preserve.

Moe, after replacing a few band members and refining their sound, signed with Sony/550 Music in the spring 1996; it was then that they recorded No Doy.

They began releasing Moe tickets for their national tours, and in 1997, Moe recorded Tin Cans and Car Tires, and their sound began to take on a more traditional sound. However, they were soon dropped by Sony and decided to release a double-live album on their newly formed record company, Fatboy Records. Three years later, they released more studio and live work entitled Wormwood and spent much of the 2000s releasing concert and live albums.

After having been a staple at music festivals across the country to the delight of Moe tickets holders everywhere, Moe released their first studio album, The Conch, in 2007. They then released Sticks and Stones and Dr. Stan's Prescription, Volume I in 2008.

Moe Tickets: What to Expect

Moe, like many jam bands, originally gained their prominence from performing on the road. After having achieved a loyal following through little more than word of mouth and grassroots efforts, Moe has developed and refined their sound over the years to incorporate a number of styles, including classic rock and roll, funk and even calypso.

Moe Tickets: Who Should Attend?

Moe is one of the most eclectic bands of today, and as such, has received both commercial and critical acclaim. They have been compared to everyone from the Allman Brothers to Tom Petty and Frank Zappa, and they rely heavily on improvisation and a "jazz idiom" for their unique sound.
