Born in Germany to an American prima ballerina and a German lawyer, David Garrett showed an interest in the violin at the age of four, when he picked up his older brother's instrument and began playing!  Within one year, he entered a competition and won first prize, and by the age of seven, he would be performing in public once a week. 

The talent was obvious, and at the age of twelve, David Garrett was afforded the opportunity to study with famed and distinguished Polish violinist Ida Haendel in London.  He would continue his studies at the Royal College of Music in London and eventually would graduate in 2004 from Juilliard School in New York City and was one of the first students to study there with Itzhak Perlman. 

When he was just 13 years old, David Garrett would release two CDs, appear on German and Dutch television, and also gave a concert to the president of Germany!  By age 17, he would play with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and at age 21, would be invited to perform at the BBC Proms, the summer long concert series in London. 

In 2007, David Garrett would release his first studio album "Free," which included his original works, as well as a few covers, including Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters."  David has released a total of six studio albums and tours internationally, bringing his amazing talent and unique violin style to David Garrett tickets holders around the world.
