Guster Tickets

Guster, a New York rock band that originally hails from Boston, has become one of the most popular and successful Indie/college rock bands, achieving success and selling tremendous volumes of Guster tickets - all without commercial support.

The History of Guster Tickers

Word-of-mouth is all Guster has needed to achieve a considerable amount of success in the rock band industry. Known as having a "grassroots" fan base, Guster has gone on to achieve both popular and commercial success.

This Indie rock trio began as an acoustic trio in 1991, whose members met during their freshmen year at Tufts University. They spent most of their college years in the 1990s touring colleges, selling Guster tickets, and releasing independent albums. Their first independent album, Parachute, was released in 1994, and a second album, Goldfly, was released in 1996.

Guster secured a contract with Sire Records and reissued Goldfly in 1998. Guster then began work on their next album - arguably considered their breakthrough album - Lost and Gone Forever in 1999, and a follow-up album just a year later. Lost and Gone Forever finally reached the Billboard charts, and the band achieved mainstream success with their hit single, "Fa Fa," which reached number 26 on the Adult Top 40 charts.

The band began using percussionist and drum sounds, thanks to the addition of band member Brian Rosenworcel, and after multi-instrumentalist Joe Pisapia joined the group in 2003, Guster began to explore folk, rock and pop sounds.

Their next studio album, Keep it Together, produced a more evolved sound with drum kit percussion and numerous contributions from instrumentalist Joe Pisapia. This album, which was released in 2003, finally cracked the Top 40 on the Billboard charts.

Guster released their 2004 concert album, Guster on Ice, and then returned to the studio in 2006 with their album, Ganging up on the Sun.

Guster released their sixth studio album, Easy Wonderful, in October 2010.

Guster Tickets: What to Expect

Guster, which has gone from a grassroots, Indie band to achieve a considerable amount of commercial success, has never strayed too far from their original sound of dreamy songs about love, self-doubt and the rock start life.

Often considered a mix of roots rock, folk and experimental pop, Guster has a talent for writing infectious songs and using unlikely instruments, such as acoustic guitars and a bongo set, to develop their own, unique sound.

Guster Tickets: Who Should Attend?

Never a fan of overproduction, Guster tickets have a strong following because of their refusal to be pigeon-holed into industry standards. In fact, Guster tickets holders will find a band that has stuck to their original sounds and expanded on them, thereby keeping a loyal base of die-hard fans.
