Kiss Tickets

Kiss tickets have been selling out venues since this group got its start back in the 1970s. The face-painted, techo-wizards began with the group's founding members, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. These two musicians originally formed the New York-based band Wicked Lester, which never really took hold, as its first album fell flat.

History of Kiss Tickets

In 1972, Simmons and Stanley abandoned their original group in search of a hotter sound. They linked up with drummer Peter Criss and lead guitarist Ace Frehley and the name Kiss was adopted by the group.

As Gypsy once sang, "You've got to have a Gimmick," and a gimmick Kiss found in elaborate face makeup that revealed the alter egos of the musicians. With the makeup, came an accelerated stardom status that resulted in sold-out Kiss tickets within a matter of years. Although the band split up after their initial stardom status in the 1980s, a renewed interest in Kiss tickets brought the group back for a reunion concert tour in the 1990s. Today, Kiss tickets are still available, although Criss and Frehley have since been replaced in the act with guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.

What to Expect with Kiss Tickets

Today's Kiss tickets do not disappoint diehard fans, with a show that features the same brand of pyrotechnics, fire breathing and fake blood that delighted fans decades ago. The band members, although much older, can still rock a good game, providing the same high-energy show for which they have always been well known. Older Kiss fans will enjoy new renditions of classics like "Firehouse" and "Let Me Go, Rock 'n Roll," while newer fans will get their fill of the group's latest hits, including "Modern Day Delilah" and "Sonic Boom."

The new group members have brought something fresh and lively to the group, with Thayer's guitar solos touted at least as well as Frehley's. Singer also came from behind his drums to sing the main track on "Beth" and actually proved that singers can be adept vocalists much more than Criss ever could. Those who purchase Kiss tickets will not be disappointed in the depth of talent and showmanship these two newbies have brought to the table.

Who Should Attend?

Kiss tickets are primarily in demand from diehard fans that have followed the band since its early roots, making the audience makeup for this show decidedly older than concert halls for other musicians. However, the baby boomers that purchase their Kiss tickets prove that rocking the roof off the house is not limited to the younger set, with many dancing in the aisles throughout the concert. Because the group made a comeback in recent years, there are also some younger fans scattered in the crowd.
