Follow The Orion Way with Local Natives Tickets

In Orange County, California high schoolers Kelcey Ayer, Ryan Hahn, and Taylor Rice formed a friendship around their passion for music.  Before long, and with the addition of bassist Andy Hamm and drummer Matt Frazier, they formed a band called "Cavil at Rest" and would play locally to hone their skills.  The group would release a self produced album in 2006 titled "Orion Way." 

Eventually, they changed their name to the Local Natives, and in a collaborative effort, all lived in the same house and all took part in the song writing and artwork of their next album.  Coining a phrase describing the condition of their home at the time, "Gorilla Manor" would be the name of their first album! 

"Gorilla Manor" was released in November 2009 in the UK and then in February 2010 in the U.S., and initial reviews were positively, comparing the band to the likes of "Arcade Fire," "Fleet Foxes," and "Vampire Weekend."  The album would debut at #3 in the Billboard 200 for the New Artist Chart! 

Before long, Local Natives were attracting more and more attention and became the opening act for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros!
