My Morning Jacket Tickets

If you try to classify the musical group, My Morning Jacket, you may have a hard time. This rock group, which has drawn on nearly every musical genre for its inspiration, has found an audience that is, perhaps, just as free-spirited and quirky.

The History of My Morning Jacket Tickets

My Morning Jacket was formed in 1998 in Louisville, Kentucky, by Jim James. The band signed on with Darla Records and released is debut album, The Tennessee Fire, in 1999. Their second album, At Dawn, followed the next year. The band left Darla Records and signed on with ATO Records in 2002; in 2003, they released It Still Moves, their first major debut.

In January 2004, a few band members changed and in November 2004 the band released two collections of their earlier work, which included live recordings and cover songs. After many live performances and My Morning Jackets tickets sold, the band released Z, their most critically acclaimed album to date.

Although they had been selling many My Morning Jacket tickets, the band really made its national debut when they appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2006. They also released a live double album and DVD, entitled Okonokos, at that time.

A successful show at Radio City Music Hall and many My Morning Jacket tickets sales were followed by the band's live album, Evil Urges, in 2007.They also sold countless My Morning Jacket tickets when they performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Bonnaroo Music Festival in 2008.

My Morning Jacket continued their quick rise to fame when they appeared on Saturday Night Live on May 10, 2008 and on CNN's 2009 New Year's Eve show from Madison Square Garden. The band is now working on their next studio album.

My Morning Jacket Tickets: What to Expect

Although it is nearly impossible to nail down the sound of My Morning Jacket, they have been referred to as alternative country, psych-rock and reverb rock, among others. The band members, however, all agree that they frequently use reverb in their music.

My Morning Jacket Tickets: Who Should Attend?

My Morning Jacket has said they have drawn from a number of musical influences, including Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and AC/DC, among others. Although musical critics continue to try to classify the sound of My Morning Jacket, the band has called themselves "rock and roll" because it "encompasses everything."

Jim James noted in a recent interview: "I guess our mission is just to bring some mystery and some fun back to rock and roll. It seems like there is no mystery or fun nowadays. It's all so serious. I just don't feel any real emotion from some of the more widely accepted artists these days."  If you are looking for mystery and fun, then My Morning Jacket tickets can fit the bill perfectly!
