The History of Pete Yorn Tickets

Pete Yorn grew up in New Jersey, where he and his two older brothers, Rick and Kevin, played in various bands. Pete began to play the drums before the age of 10, and he was singing and songwriting by the time he entered high school.

Inspired by several British bands, including T. Rex and the Cure, Pete Yorn wrote music that was often similar to the sound of these popular British groups. He enrolled at Syracuse University in 1990 and soon took his songwriting skills to the next level, and he learned to play guitar during this time.

After his graduation from Syracuse in 1996, he left for Los Angeles to follow in his brothers' footsteps, both of whom were enjoying successful careers there. His hard work soon paid off when a record executive from Columbia Records saw one of his impromptu acoustic performances.

Yorn soon found success in Hollywood, as he wrote the score for the 2000 hit film, Me, Myself & Irene, and wrote tracks for the television drama, Dawson's Creek and the Spiderman soundtrack.

Pete Yorn's debut album, Musicforthemorningafter, was released in March 2001 and went gold after several successful singles were released, including "Strange Condition," "Life on a Chain," and "For Nancy." He also issued his first live album, Live From New Jersey, shortly afterward.

Columbia asked Pete Yorn to re-introduce his debut album with a number of bonus tracks that included cover songs he frequently performed live for Pete Yorn tickets holders.

Yorn then released his next album in 2003, entitled Day I Forgot.  This album debuted on the charts at number 18. His next studio album, released in August 2006, featured collaborations with such notable artists as the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and the Dixie Chicks' Marie Maguire. Unlike his first two albums, his third studio album featured more of a rock feel, garnering him even more fans that demanded Pete Yorn tickets.

His next album, Back and Forth, was released in 2009, and in 2010, he released his self-titled fifth studio album.
