Third Day was formed in the mid nineties in Marietta, Georgia by lead singer Mac Powell and guitarist Mark Lee.  The two were playing in their church band when they met musicians David Carr and Tai Anderson, and together they began playing in and around Atlanta and eventually raised enough money to record an album.  They produced 2000 copies, and before long, they found themselves playing at The Strand in Atlanta, where the owners offered them a recording contract. 

In 1996, they produced their first album titled "Third Day," and it sold over 300,000 copies and featured the single "Nothing at All," which peaked at #34 on the Billboard charts!  They would immediately schedule a 65 city tour selling Third Day tickets, and their popularity began to grow. 

By July of 2000, they finished their fourth album titled "Offerings: A Worship Album," and it would eventually go platinum.  They would go on to release over 14 studio albums, including their most recent dynamic effort "Move."  This amazing band has won four Grammy awards and one American Music Award.  Incredibly they have also won 20 Dove Awards given by The Gospel Music Association.
