Iowa Hawkeyes Tickets

In a state without any major professional sports teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes have a strong following of fans. Iowa Hawkeyes tickets provide spectators with some top flight football and basketball action.

Iowa Hawkeyes Tickets: Historical Overview

The Iowa Hawkeyes football program has experienced its fair share of ups and downs over the years. In the fifties, head coach Forrest Evashevski (1952-60) transformed Iowa into an elite club. He led the Hawkeyes to five top 10 finishes during his run at the school.

After struggling for the next two decades, Iowa rebounded under head coach Hayden Fry (1979-98). He guided the Hawkeyes to 14 bowl games during his time on the sidelines with Iowa. Overall, the Hawkeyes have appeared in 25 bowl games.

In hoops, the university has reached the NCAA tournament on 22 occasions. In the mid-fifties, the Hawkeyes made consecutive trips to the Final Four. The program's other Final Four appearance came in the 1979-80 season under the direction of head coach Lute Olson.

Championship Seasons

On the gridiron, the Iowa Hawkeyes have won 11 Big 10 championships. Evashevski won three of the crowns from 1956-60. In his tenure, Fry also won three conference titles (1981, 85, 90).

More recently, current head coach Kirk Ferentz has led Iowa to a pair of Big 10 championships (2002, 04).

In basketball, the Hawkeyes have come away with ten conference titles (8-regular season, 2-tournament). While Iowa won both of its tournament championships in the last decade, the school hasn't captured a Big 10 regular season title since the 1978-79 campaign.
